Week 1 WICKS

For the first week, my team and I worked on a communications project for an event that aimed to internationally showcase the mining history in Lens. The main focus was a real historical miner’s lamp, and we created both short and long-form videos to promote the event. My role in this project was to design the Instagram posts, centered around the concept of a “wick” flowing through time connecting the past to newer generations and highlighting important locations in Lens where we filmed. Through this process, I learned a lot about video editing, transforming the footage to perfectly fit our storytelling vision. Beyond the creative work, the experience was incredibly rewarding on a personal level. The people I worked with were so kind and welcoming, and I even met a best friend, Gaspard. The project really brought us together, fostering excellent teamwork and communication, all while exploring the rich history of Lens.

Week 2 LETS TRAP !

Week 2 marked the start of a brand new project. This week, we collaborated exclusively with multimedia students to create a Web TV, which was eventually live-streamed on Twitch. The week was intense, much like the previous one, but it was also incredibly fun and rewarding! I learned a lot about organization, teamwork, communication, and project planning throughout this experience. We also made new friends especially Bilal, Lola, and Erwon who were so supportive. They even took us to an all-you-can-eat sushi meal, which made us feel really welcome. This week was particularly exciting for me because it was my first time working on live TV. I was on 2 out of the 3 episodes. I was nervous at first, but I felt proud and happy seeing everything come together. The team’s kindness and collaboration made the experience unforgettable, and it was amazing to see our project succeed on a live platform.
